Trent Randall
Trent Randall was born in Redcliffe Australia where he played most of his career, spanning 21yrs, winning numerous senior titles both as a player and as a coach. Trent was selected to represent Brisbane, and his team captured the Queensland Championship. Trent was also selected to represent Queensland at the Australian championship, which represents the top 15 players from each state in Australia. Trent continued his playing and coaching experience in England in 1996 with the 1st division in the Premier League for the Walsall Hockey Club as a player coach with the team finishing third. When Trent returned to Australia, he served as the junior development coach for the South Australian Field Hockey Association.Working on all aspects of the games, facilitating invitation only training sessions for both boys and girls teams ages 15-17. Trent is currently a USA certified level 2 field hockey coach, level 2 coach in Australia, as well as his sports training, first aid and CPR. When finally settling in the USA, Trent played for the Boston Minutemen where he met his wife, Meredith Kirkpatrick, a current member of the USA indoor field hockey team. Trent continues to play indoor hockey for Toronto, the current NAPL champions, and outdoor hockey for the Goa Reds of Toronto.
Trent coaches with Cape Ann Coalition and has done so for the past couple of years winning gold at the 2005 Hockey Festival with the under 19 gold team and also Gold at the Indoor Nationals in 2006. Trent coaches a very attacking style hockey, and we are very glad to have him on board.
Chris Pothier
Chris Pothier was born in Oaks Bluff, Massachusetts in 1986. Chris didn’t start playing hockey until the eighth grade where he played on the Junior High team. Throughout high school he continued to play where he lettered 3 of his 4 years. During high school he played for numerous clubs, such as the Eagles out of New Jersey, Minutemen of Boston and Mystery out of southern California, earning a number of top place finishes, at festival, Club Cup and Cal Cup. When he graduated from high school he took a year off to train and travel with his Junior National Team and took time to work. During the winter of 2005 he was named to the Men’s Indoor National Squad where he and his team placed 4th at the Indoor Pan Am’s in Toronto. Following his training and touring with the Jr. Team he played with San Fransisco in the 1st Men’s National Championships. Using this tournament as a selection tool for the US Men’s team, Chris was named to the 2006-2007 squad. Chris is now attending the University of Southern Maine where he is studying Exercise Science. His freshman year he took on the asst. coach position for the huskies. When finished his first season, he stepped down his asst. job and took on a coaching position in one of New England’s premiere club, Cape Ann Coalition. While coaching with Cape Ann, he has qualified team at Indoor Nationals, placing 2nd and taking a team to Festival. As a head coach for Region 1 in the futures program, he took the U-19 team to the National Futures Tournament where he and his team placed 7th out of 16 teams.
